DevFest 2024 Season 🎉 : meeting local communities and talking about Prototyping with LLM
Q4, this year, has turned from my favorite seasons because around the world there are tech communities organizing and celebrating #DevFest, the Developers Fest 🎉 🎉 🎉
It is so exciting to get to meet new folks in local communities, as well as learning from tech experts and sharing about my projects and knowledge!
Thanks to Google Developers Expert program, I could join in-person events in different cities in Latin America 🌎 and talk about GenAI, LLM, Gemini, Prototyping, Google AI Studio and more 🤓
What I talked about in the presentations… usually attendees are university students and/or young professionals, so I’m excited to share about what GenAI is, how it works, how to get started with few lines of code, how to use Gemini API…
I enjoyed adjusting my presentation to feel more connected with the people of the city I was in.
Also, sharing about how to put your ideas into reality… because everything could start from writing a prompt, giving the appropriate data (images, pdfs, … ← multimodality 🤩) and let your ideas flow and get a bit of code and build an app! 🤓
I loved listening to people who are getting started in AI and how GenAI is accelerating this learning curve and curisioty!
DevFests hold a special place in my heart — they’ve been a part of my journey since 2014! Over the past decade, I’ve attended these incredible events across Bolivia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Chile, Panama, Mexico, Nicaragua, and more. Back then, I was in the audience, inspired by tech experts sharing their knowledge with large crowds. Today, I’m honored to stand in their place, teaching people across Latin America about technology and empowering them to start building with AI. It’s been an unforgettable journey! 🥲
